It's gardening season and we found a nice web site that is filled with money-saving ideas for your garden this year. Go to http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf17661597.tip.html597.tip.html
It also has tons of thrifty ideas on pretty much everything else you can think of, so you can bookmark that site in your “I promise I’m going to be more frugal this year” folder.
We also found a quaint magazine about country living that includes tips on gardening, animal-care, simplifying your life, etc and the best thing about it is that you can get a free three year subscription! And finally, Appraise That!

In 2003, Stan Pike's plan to add a rounded front stoop to a home he was renovating was rejected by the Avondale Estates Historic Preservation Commission. This wasn't the first time Pike had disagreed with the commission and this time he fought back with paint. Within 2 days the home, in a quiet Atlanta suburb, was lime green with big purple polka dots.
